Robin van Galen

In 2009 the coach of the Dutch female waterpolo team Mr. Robin van Galen was honored with his own Lily for winning the Gold medal during the Beijing Olympics in 2008.
The named white Oriental is very suitable for forcing under hot conditions, and the flowers keep very well during transport.
This year the first flower of Robin van Galen® came available in different countries in the world. During the introduction the variety is promoted for several weeks at big screens at many Russian flower wholesalers.

Plasbokaal 2012

On september the famous lilyshow at "kwekerij de Plas" was organized for the 20th time. In total more then 300 vases of lilies where shown all with an outstanding quality. Among the breeders Mak breeding did only participated for cut flowers in the OT catagory. In this group the winner was the purple OT Palazzo®, and the runner up was the white OT Zambesi®. The pink OT Tabledance® reach a combined 4^th place. In total 28 different OT hybrids participated in this contest.
In the catagory Pot Asiatics the red Tiny Missile® reached the first place and in the catagory Pot orientals After Eight® reached the second place.

Zambesi in garden

The white OT Zambesi® is not only usefull as a cutflower but also gives a beautifull display in the garden as we can see in the garden of Joop van Veen.
