Mak Breeding BV

Mak Breeding BV occupies itself with the breeding of lilies broadly spoken.The breeding is not limited to the forcing assortment but extends itself also to the lily as pot plant or as garden plant. The breeding and selection takes place at their own premises. For this purpose they have the disposal of greenhouse- cooling and processing facilities and also a fully equipped laboratory. Mak Breeding disposes of a fully conditioned facility in which the flowering of new varieties can be tested in detail.

Breeding line

The business operation of Mak Breeding started on January 1, 2005, but its history goes back further. The breeding booth already knows a long existence. The basis of the genetic material with which is worked with is very diverse and herein lies the power of the breeding booth. Material coming from BT lilies, Lybelmex, Cebeco/Oregon Bulb Farms and Mak are being used and combined. This rich gene group offers sufficient possibilities to further work out the lily as an ornamental product.
